About the Artist:Dustin Michael Headrick is an award winning artist and musician from Nashville Tennessee with a family heritage in the American music industry dating from the 1940's. Over his 30 year professional career, he has created music and/or art for the United States Federal Government/US Mint, various states, museums, boutiques, attractions and companies such as Sony, Universal and Microsoft.Dustin is skilled and practiced in all 7 classical art styles: Music, Sculpture, Painting, Literature, Architecture, Theater, and Film, and regularly showcases his latest works at juried art and music events throughout North America.About the Art:Objet Trouve Sculptural Assemblage: the concept of Objet Trouve' (found object) art originated in the early 1900's with Pablo Picasso's additions of wicker and newspaper into still life paintings and continued to evolve through Dada and Surrealist artists such as George Braque and Marcel Duchamp. Recognized in the contemporary art world as “Assemblage” and/or “Mixed Media”, Objet Trouve' continues to evolve as a strikingly audacious concept of art in both 2D and 3D works.Dustin Michael Headrick's current series of original Objet Trouve' assemblage artworks and guitar picks, known as the “Fall Collection”, primarily focuses on distressed American depression-era aesthetics with strong spiritual undertones, manifesting in the form of functional musical instruments, handcrafted plectrums and non-functional sculptures.
